my new web log
We ( me,Rach Ken, Koni,Brian,Ronnie and Luis) attended the Church Planting conference in San Diego,CA recently. San Diego is paradise by the way. The weather was amazing for December, sunny and 65 degrees. In south Louisiana its usually colder and wetter, mostly wetter . Back to the church planters conf. One of the speakers there was Mark Batterson. He pastors National Community Church in Washington DC. www.theaterchurch.com. They meet in movie theaters in the Capitol. I went to a movie in their home church
when i was in DC in 2003. What a cutting edge concept. I was really inspired by Mark. So much that I went out and bought his book “In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day”. Well not just the book, I’ve been reading his web log daily. www.markbatterson.com .I’m hooked. Help! Its a good kind of addiction though, no nasty side effects. At least not that I can see.
But i told you that story because during the trip to San Diego I got motivated to begin our web log. And thus we start. Thanks to my awesome teammates Nick and Jason, who have worked day and night on this new site, (they do their best work after midnight) our blog is on.
We hope to accomplish a couple of things on this site:
1. Keep you posted on whats up at Journey Fellowship Church.
www.journeyfellowshipchurch.com
2. Give you an authentic look at my heart.
You can always skip part 2. I’ll understand…..

I like this new blog.

OK – I am really impressed that you DID stay up almost all night to get the photos of the party into the blog! It was a fabulous night and probably one of the best Christmas parties we have been to in a long time! The comic was hilarious but the highlight of the night (at least in terms of laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe) was the spontaneous “tagging” of Mike Ducre!!! You are a good sport Mike and you wore our name tags well!!! Thanks Pastor Ken and staff – you did a great job putting htis one on!!!

Happy Saturday and a very Merry Christmas. May God bless us all in this awesome celebration of His son Jesus Christ birth as God born as man. Doug, I just wanted to say I really like this web site. It is so cool and current. I guess you stayed up and ate your ice cream as the pictures were uploaded shortly after the party. The party was so much fun that I wish it would have lasted much longer allowing more fellowship time. It seams I can never get enough fellowship time with all my brothers and sisters in Christ. Doug, you and the pastor staff are doing such an awesome job I just want to say thanks and you all are in my prayers. Keep up the awesome job. I am thankful to be apart of this very blessed ministry. Everyone that missed the party don’t realize what a great time they missed. I just have one issue………. hey…… where the heck is my picture…… it would not have broken the camera……. really…… I promise……… oh well…… maybe next year…. lol. May God bless you, the entire staff, and their families today and everyday. I really feel in my spirit that this church / ministry is heavy in the FOG and God has great plans for us all. Thank you God for a church and staff that has been a blessing to me. I love you all. Good day and God bless
